Who We Are
Meet Our Team
JACQUELINE R. BATA
Ms. Jacqueline Bata is an accomplished musician and a trained music
and arts educator with fifteen years experience. She earned her BA in
Music Education (K-12) from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois. Her piano
professor was Nancy Lemons and her vocal instructor, Alyssa Bennett.
She also studied voice under Michelle Areyzaga.
Jacqueline teaches voice, piano, and woodwinds, specializing in flute. Her diverse repertoire ranges from classical and Broadway to contemporary and popular music. She has also directed a children’s musical and has participated in various ensembles as well performing in several musical theater productions. As a student, she participated in numerous local and state-wide music competitions, consistently placing in the top three. Growing up she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandfather, accomplished artist Earl Westrom, who taught her the basics of drawing and painting. The early exposure to music and arts
fostered a life-long passion to continue exploring the creative
process. She attends art workshops and completed a college
course on teaching early childhood art. Since 2014 Jacqueline
has been an active volunteer for LAUSD. It is her goal to
encourage others to discover their innate creativity as she
believes everyone can awaken the artist within.
In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys being with her family,
crafting with her daughter, swimming, going to the beach,
writing, and editing, as well as learning about photography.
She firmly believes that exploring the arts is essential to living
a well-balanced life.
